In the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 consumer finance apps on the iOS platform in Oceania showed distinct trends in downloads and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers valuable insights into the performance of these leading apps.

CommBank experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 21.4K downloads in early July, then dipping to around 14.4K by mid-August. However, the app saw a resurgence, peaking at 21K downloads in the final week of September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2M, with a slight peak at 2.1M in the last week of September.

ANZ Plus showed a dramatic spike in downloads at the beginning of July, reaching about 51.9K, before stabilizing to an average of 8.9K to 9.1K per week. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 164.5K in early July and then maintaining a steady increase to approximately 139.9K by the end of the quarter.

Westpac had a consistent download trend with a slight peak of 15.7K in early September, followed by a stable range around 11K to 12.8K downloads per week. Active users remained steady throughout the quarter, averaging around 480K, with minor fluctuations.

ANZ Australia saw a consistent download rate, with a slight peak of 12.4K in early July and a steady increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 11.2K. Active users were stable, averaging around 610K to 630K, with minor dips and rises throughout the period.

NAB Mobile Banking had a stable download trend with minor fluctuations, peaking at 10.8K in early July and maintaining around 7.3K to 9.6K towards the end of September. Active users showed slight fluctuations, averaging around 700K to 720K, with a notable peak of 734.5K in mid-August.
